do you mean 'configure wap for wireless...' as in setting up your wireless card for use in linux?
when i was using linux on my notebook, i had to use something called ndiswrapper to load the driver and configure the card. i've got a T40 with an Intel wireless adapter, hence the need for ndiswrapper because there are no drivers in linux for it.
i do remember seeing something in kde (3.2 i think) that had options to configure a wireless card, but since my card wasn't supported, i wasnt able to change any options. i think this menu was somewhere in the control center?
