I gamed on the Asus variant of this monitor at PAX East, it was pretty nice actually. Wonder how long before we start seeing three of these in portrait eyefinity/surround view?
 
Yeah this is a real interesting monitor for gaming.

Its active display area is 26.49" x 11.17"

My 2560 x 1440 active display area is 23.50" x 13.25"

I imagine this would be a pretty sweet display setup for a lot of games.
 
I called dell, they are going to ask for approval to credit me $40 back. Can't fault the good customer service...
 
I had/have the LG version. Three infact. All have or are being returned due to stuck pixels, would this one be covered under Dell's Pixel Perfect plan?

Yeah I get the default -100 for $599 total.

I used ?K0N8$SDH1ZF0P got -$60 though. Really thinking about it now.

The LGs were really awesome for gaming. It's really hard to get over the missing vertical pixels but once you do, it's not bad at all. It's a shame they all had stuck or dead pixels. I ordered three before I just gave up trying.

I wonder if there are two dell 1920 x 1080 monitors that would match correctly on the sides?

That would be a sweet setup. 6400x1080!
 
Some competitive multiplayer games probably won't allow you to play at that aspect ratio because it would be an unfair advantage.
