I got my psu a couple weeks back and never opened it. I just wanted dependability through the holidays because the holidays are not so great for me. I could not find any of my old files so I dug the the box out from under my bed and set it up.

It is much nicer than the old ones and worth waiting for. If I had known it was going to be this nice it would have gone in my rig sooner.
 
oo, how nice? I've got an original AX1200, and so far I love it, but its starting to get a little crispy....
 
The old i model used crappy copper or zinc connectors painted gold and had a horrible rail setup. The power conversion did not work right. The one I got around the middle of December has square pegs made from platinum, it does not need to spin up the fan even with six heavy duty hard drives on it, an i7 3970x and rest of the stuff in my sig. The thing looks very similar and without taking it apart they only real thing you would notice is the different pins and the fact it works a hell of a lot better.
