Does Assassins Creed black flag or splinter cell blacklist activate on steam at all?

Or do I have to only use uplay?

I am about to purchase keys for both and want to be sure that I can add them to my steam library.

Are you buying them from the Nvidia holiday bundles that come with the gtx cards? If so, they are both Uplay titles. No steam.
