Been thinking about rolling my own but the reality is the price for an individual to DIY it excessive versus a company who can source panels cheaper than anyone's business.
In particular, I'm thinking about going to the local Sony store and trying out a pair of HMZ-T1's. I'm probably crazy since I'm looking to get rid of my LCD/find a way to view my portables more easily and with more immersion.
The biggest complaint I hear is that using head mounted displays are is that you feel like you're just watching a screen from afar with black tunnels on the side...
The HMZ-T1 is pretty fancy though, so I might try it out at the Sony store and if I like it enough, get it.
