Alright, I need more help with the laptop. I have a Dell Inspiron 5150 that I'm trying to reinstall windows on, and it keeps shutting off automatically every so often during the install. It's a legit copy of windows, I've tried two different discs even thinking maybe one was to blame, but that wasn't the case. Do you think it may be due to the heat of running or something? It shuts off at different points in the install every time, so it makes me wonder. If anyone else has had this trouble I'd appreciate any words of advice...

Turns out it's a problem with the design of the laptop. The heatsink fan gets clogged with dust and doesn't work very well, and the thing shuts down to save the CPU when it gets hot obviously. I guess lots of people are having this problem with this series of notebook. After I let it sit for an hour before installing I had no trouble until it got real hot again, and bam, it then shut down on me yet again. I just need to get some compressed air to clean it out...
