help with s-video out on laptop

ok i got it working, i have a picture on the tv, my only problem is when i play a movie in winamp or wmp it doesnt show up on the screen, but it does show up on the laptop. what is wrong with this? i hooked it up to watch some movies(not porn you perve ), but am now disappointed, though i am having fun using milkdrop with winamp to make my own visualzations and trying to make cool shows

I'm assuming its an ATi mobility chip.
Right Click on the Desktop->Properties->Settings->Advanced->Overlay->Clone mode options...->Theater Mode click apply and have fun.

I had the same problem before major a's answer is correct he helped me out before too

guys i cant find clone mode options under the overlay tab. help
