I currently have a Powercolor 6850 in my pc and recently got in on a good deal for a Powercolor 6870. The cards are compatible for crossfire. I'm just wondering what steps I should take to install both GPU's onto my computer.

My guess:

1. Uninstall the 6850 with driversweeper
2. Install the 6870 by itself and then update the drivers
3. Install 6850 and update drivers.

Just plug it in. It'll detect with the same drivers you currently have.

Update to the newest drivers and Crossfire Profiles and you'll be good to go.

Yeah no need to redo drivers. You'll be fine. I would make the 6870 the master card by plugging your monitors into it but I'm not sure it actually matters which is master.
