hdtv recording playback problems

ok so i just bought a fusion hdtv 5 card

got it to record a few min in .mpg format using the provided software

now when i try to view it with:

windows media-> sound for a few sec and no video​

winamp-> no video, but the audio plays(some stutter)​

vlc player-> i get video!!, but no sound​

ok so my setup is a64 3000+, msi k8n neo, 6800gt, raptor 74g, 512mb ram

is it my broken 6800gt's video accelerator? help please!

Are you able to watch live HDTV fine? I'm using the card, but only with MCE2005... I'll try recording something using the hella buggy software and get back to you.

well my setup is i have the card recording on my file server.. and that comp has gforce 3 ti200 and 1800+xp soyo dragon+

watching it live seems ok

im' begining to think its the stupid 6800gt

btw i'm using the new 3.0 software

ok so i tested it on another pc with a 6600gt pci-e and video worked 100%, but audio didn't work, i'm probably missing codecs for it or something simple.

damm i need to trade in my vid card for something with hardware vid accel
