HDTV monitors?

I was looking through some bb and circuit city ads, and I was wondering if any of the flat tube, hdtv monitors would work well with a pc? http://www.circuitcity.com/rpsm/cat...867+525+107/link/ref/rpem/ccd/categorylist.do

Except for the lcd models, but would a flat-tube with a digital comb filter look good? ie pixels of the tv vs pixels of a monitor

I was just going through this same thought process recently. The HDTVs, though better than a regular TV, still don't have the resolution a halfway decent monitor does. The shows will look good, the game will look so-so and, from what I heard, the text will be shit.

I decided against getting an HDTV or getting an LCD with a built in tuner and going with an external tuner that would allow me to use an existing LCD screen I have and even play DVDs and Console games.

I am getting a Viewsonic Nextvision N6 to use on my old Samsung 192N. In my case, it ends up being a hell of a lot cheaper since I already have the screen, but even if you have to buy a decent LCD, you can still get the whole deal cheaper and better quality than the equivilent HDTV.

Just a thought.

Hmm, well, I'm just looking for something fairly big, at a not so expensive price, those 23" crts are a bit pricey
