Have Creative Gigaworks T40 Series II 2.0 speakers?

Creative Gigaworks T40 Series II 2.0

There is a blue light around the volume knob. Sometimes, after having the speakers on, the power light goes off and it seems it takes a few seconds once I use sound to get sound back to the speakers. When this happens, the blue light eventually returns on. Is this as designed? Or is this a problem with my new speakers? Creative contacted me back with a lame response that didn't really address if this was some kind of power save technology built into the set. So I figured I'd ask here.
 
I don't know if you found the answer to your question else where but I'm fairly certain they do have a power save feature. Mine do that exact same thing you stated in your post above. When I did a google search for it, it directed me here. My guess is we shouldn't be worrying about it!
