Hard drive isnt showing up in windows?

Let me list my specs:

abit ic7
p4 2.4c
adaptec 29160 scsi
cheetah x15
36gig raptor
200gig seagate ide
160gig WD ide
80gig WD ide
120gig WD sata
liteon 851s dvdrw

I also have a liteon 52x cdrw, but I disconnected that to make room for an addition hard drive. I should also note the 120gig sata is currently disconnected while I make room in my case for it.

I have the 200gig and the 160gig paired up on ide1. The liteon dvdrw and the 80gig are paired up on ide2. However, if those two are paired up, the liteon dvdrw will NOT show up in windows. The intial boot screen WILL show both the hard drive AND the dvdrw, but both devices will not show up in windows.

Actually, it's not the hard drive that isnt appearing. It's the liteon dvdrw that doesnt show up if both are plugged in. My current fix is to leave the 80gig unplugged. However, that's not really acceptable. The liteon dvdrw is set to master and the 80gig is set to slave, but that shouldnt be an issue.

I'm running a 430watt true power supply, so wattage shouldnt be an issue.

This may sound like I'm treating you as a complete newbie, but have you check your cables? The surest thing to do is to swap out the cables and see if new ones make a difference.
