HAMR drives later ths year

There will be a decent testing period with the DC samples before any real decision is made. Don't want to promise something with brand new tech to find out it needs more time to work out the kinks. Given the explosive capacity/density growth projected by Seagate (and WD), I think it's not outlandish to expect rather reasonable prices vs. existing PMR media (after the typical initial premium, of course).

Then again, I don't know if anyone's really dived into what the platform costs are with HAMR vs. extra-mature PMR manufacturing. I know it's basically all new inside the casing, including the fancy platters.
