HALP! DVD Drive Disappeared

i tried to burn a dvd for the first time on my new laptop...and it said there was no driver for it. i rebooted and windows tried installing driver for the foreign "ATA Device" ... failed. i don't know what kind of drive i have so i cant search for the driver. i tried looking on the toshiba support & driver page...can't find anything. i have a Toshiba Satellite L305D-S5934. Please and thank-you

Does the drive show up in my computer? Have you tried deleting the upper and lower filters for the drives from the registry?
