GTS 250 Fan blade broke off, Any danger in still using it?

This is the only spare video card I have that has HDMI in it, Unfortunately, a single fan blade broke off, I want to use this video card in a computer that will be hooked up to a tv full time to watch downloaded HD videos, no hint of gaming at all. The only other option I have available to me right now is to zip tie another fan to the heat sink.

Would there be any ill-effects to using the video card as-is for the above mentioned function?

The fan will be out of balance and may die sooner or produce more noise but otherwise I think it would work. Zip-tieing another fan will work too in a pinch.

I doubt the motor will last very long. It's a 15 minute job to replace the fan. I'm not sure if this is the right size, but replacements are generally pretty inexpensive.

Assuming it has an even number of blades, you can remove the blade on the opposite side to rebalance it.
