GPU Chipset Coolers : Adjustable ??

recently i built a new computer and the video card i went with was an ATI x1800xt 512

that card is great but from what i hear the fan likes to "power up / power down" depening how much load is being put on the card ?

is there a way to make the fan spin at full blast or another preset level constantly ? the loudness of the fan does not bother me but the sound of it going up and down seems to get annoying

I can assure you that constant full blast from the fans on the X1800/X1900 will annoy you. Use ATI Tool. It has a fan adjustment interface built into it.
