Good video editing software!?

Whats a decent somewhat easy to use and can edit avis, mpgs, maybe even to be burned dvd files? And converts to dvd format? =D Cheap or expensive. I need a name! Let me know your 20 cents! Thanks.
 
Expensive would have to be Final Cut Pro.

It's $1000, plus you'd need a mac. Pretty pricey indeed.
It's one of the better NLE's i've ever used.
But since you don't have a mac that's neither here nor there.

Adobe Premiere is good too, and cheaper overall (about $700 for the software, plus your sig-rig can run it fine)


There are also the "free" softwares, things like TMPGEnc, AVISynth, and the likes. Check out DVDRHelp.com and doom9.org for extensive info though.
 
A mac? Thats no good! :rolleyes: But hmm adobe premiere! I found the same about it being a good program. Alittle more complicated then most but good and can do everything i wanted including mpg, avi, dvds, etc. Waiting on my extra ram at the moment! =D
