Good Signal on Wireless Router

I have a linksys wireless router currently. Should I buy a new wireless router or should I buy the high gain antenna from linksys? ..... to get better signal strength and coverage?

Are there any routers that are notorious for having a much wider area coverage?

It has the a and b network, I found some comments on the linksys high gain antenna and they were all positive so ill probably go with those.

But i would definately be interested if anyone knew of a better brand/model that comes with a much broader signal coverage area.
