Hi all,

I just wanted to report a problem that I have had with a GA 965G-DS3, as well as the solution to the problem.

The problem was that overclocking settings were being reset with each boot, and specifically that the CPU Host Control Control was being reset to "Disabled". The net result was that overclocking was not possible.

After looking through a lot of posts on different forums, I found the problem was that USB Legacy Device Detect was enabled. By disabling this, overclocking settings held.

Some more info: The 965P DS3 is supposed to be better at overclocking than the "965G", since the G has onboard graphics that supposedly limit the board.

Also, the PCIE clock ratio is a constant 2.66 on this board, so it's always supposed to be FSB / 2.66 = PCIE clock.

Hope this helps any of you GA-965G-DS3 owners out there... share the knowledge.
