Gigabyte 290 WindForce ($339 - $20 MIR)

I think all the 290's are hot. I have the Tri-X which is one of the better coolers, and it's a heatbox under my desk now. Thinking about doing a NZXT Kraken to water cool it

I have this card running in my eyefinity system. In a very warm gaming room, it tops out at 80c when playing AC4: Black Flag.
 
They only get hot once you really start pushing them, I have the 290X of this card, great card does 1200/6400 and the build quality is amazing, top spec power delivery and board design. Gigabyte knows what they are doing. TRI-X does stay cooler with a bigger heatsink, but these are much lower profile. Great price! But the used market is just awesome right now on these cards, why would anyone buy a 780 when these can be had for way cheaper!
 
This is a hell of a lot of power for just over $300. I would buy this in a second if I didn't already have a 290x.

And for those saying this runs hot... Yeah, it does, and it handles the heat.
