Got it also. Very annoying. WTF Amazon? I honestly doubt Kyle would do this on purpose or by accident, I bet Amazon slipped this bullshit into rotation with the other ads since this shit doesn't happen often.

I don't mind the other ads as they follow the flow of the site and are unobtrusive, but this tall monstrosity is pissing me off.

I just got another Amazon ad that took up as much screen space as the one pictured here, but was a regular horizontal one. The ad looked as if the picture was literally cut in half. It then took up most of the banner space, but there was nothing there but half an ad. I'm not sure if it was the ad or some other web browser issue like cache.

I got an ad for the "brand new galaxy S5" from amazon. It was on my phone so I didn't get a screenshot, but I thought that was pretty funny/odd. I'm also getting the vertical ads mentioned in OP.

Funnily enough, it's displaying on this very page. This is taking up fully one third of my screen - and I'm using a portrait-mode monitor - so by the time you include the task bar, window frames, etc, it's over two thirds of the screen.
