Downloaded several video editing programs, got my DV card in, it doesn't see it when trying to capture with any of the programs. Ulead, Vegas Video, and Windows Movie Maker. I click on capture video and it tells me to make sure everything is on and connected blah blah blah, and it is and my device manager recognizes it.

My question is how do I get Windows Movie Maker or any of the other software to recognize my DV card?

Specifically the card is a 'Texas Instruments OHCI Compliant IEEE 1394 Host Controller'

Thanks

I'm having the same problem with a SIIG 1394 card and a Sony TVR900 video camera. Device Manager recognizes the 1394 card, but Windows MM is unaware of it. Does the video camera have to be hooked up to the firewire card before I boot up the computer?
