Games people really seem to like that you hate.

I didn't really care for Far Cry all that much. I played all of the way through Doom 3 somehow: you walk, a monster jumps out; you walk farther **gasp** ANOTHER monster jumps out. The PDA's were mildly entertaining, but for pete's sake, could we maybe have an outdoor level? And running between airlocks doesn't count. I thought "thank goodness" when I finally got on the train, but was sorely disappointed when I just ended up back in a place that looked exactly like the one I left. I think I would probably like Counter Strike except that nearly everyone on there has been playing for about 5 years, and I die VERY quickly. I wish there were a way to play w/bots for awhile, or some decent newbie servers (I've got CS: source, any recommendations?). Oh yeah :D DAIKATANA

HEHE me too. Looks like he enjoys UT games, and perhaps DAIKATANA :D Nice idea listing Unreal2 though, I forgot about that one. It wasn't horrid, but the story was kinda, well-patchy?

Yipes, I think I own and enjoyed the majority of those games.
 
On a side note every game Blizzard has created has been an instant classic and an extremely well made game. I know you don't like them but Diablo, DIablo II, Starcraft, Warcraft series, etc. are all extremely sucessful. Blizzard knows what they're doing. I can't wait for WoW to come out, I'm loving the beta.

I can understand why people hate cs, i enjoy it, and i enjoyed playing it competitivley.

I can see why people wouuld like R6 type games, but there not really my type.

I can see why people like MMO's or Flight Sims, or Racing sims. and i can also see why you wouldnt like some of those games.

The point is people like the hate games and anyone who plays the game and judge them in everyway, call them stupid fucktards for liking a game. Its very ignorant. Mabye you should just stop complaining and play the games you enjoy. Stop wasting the internet

You can play against bots ON CS:CZ, I dont know about CS:S though.

Tomb Raider, Tomb Raider, and Tomb Raider. Besides for that, I'd say the Sims and Counterstrike. The Sims was an okay game, but I just don't think it was fun after playing for more than a day. And Counterstrike, my God, the cult following this game has spawned never ceases to amaze me, especially since, to me, almost all FPSs out today provide everything Counterstrike does and much more. Oh and one other thing I almost forgot - Tomb Raider.
 
Let the flaming begin... GTA Vice CIty, (i loved GTA3, and im gettin SA, but VC was horrible), oh yes WC3, WC2, and everquest.
 
Final Fantasy games and all like them. Taking turns bashing each other with text based menus.... teh suck.

At least the games I hate arent ones I was excited for. I dont touch these turn based games with a twenty foot pole.
 
World of Warcraft- The first MMORPG I have played and I hated it. I didnt even finish beta testing it and uninstalled it after about a week of trying to like it.

Halo- I hated this game on the XBox when I got it on relase and sold it like 3 days later to get back my money. I have com to apreciate it with the PC version though.

UT2K3-4- Blah!
 
i'm certainly not a fan of CS, and just a close second, half-life.

warcraft 3 didn't do it for me either, i eventually just skipped the levels to see the cinematics.
 
BF1942, I love WWII, but I want games based on reality to be... realistic. I just can't enjoy arcade style WWII games. CS - I use to love it but... well those like me understand why.

Warcraft 3, WoW, Starcraft(C&C fan sorry), Arcadish Racers, HALO, DDR, EQ...

If only they made more games like Total Annihilation, C&C Red Alert, Half-Life, and Fallout...

Edit: Oh yeah and SquareSoft is the worst company in the world. I can't stand any of their games.

The game would still suck but yeah, that would make it better. :D Edit: But one of the reasons I added McDonalds is because the arcade I go to has a McDonalds right by the DDR machine.

C&C or any kind of RTS game. I can play them just fine but i just don't like these kinds of games. I used to hate RPG's too but i changed my mind after a while, but i just can't get into RTS. I'll scream, bang my head, spend hours with a pen and calculator, but i'll never cheat in any other game. But with RTS, i use cheat codes straight away.

Only game with any semblance to RTS that i actually liked in BattleZoneII, using the communications building lets you play the game like any RTS =)

Plane sims (not space or helicopter sims) basically, anything that involves crashing into the ground =P Dunno why but i can't seem to hold my altitude for some reason o_O

Anything StarWars (Oh for pete's sake, they even have StarWars Monopoly!)

BF1942
Halo (though I admit I really enjoyed the coop...but other then that...)
Tribes 2 (only 2...the others rock)
DDR and everything like it (some of my friends play this...I just leave the room)

CS is the worst, though Tribes 2 is an incredibely close second.
