Hell, are there any just G-SYNC 27" displays even available?? I've been waiting so damn long for that ASUS one...
And that's not even IPS...
because color accuracy matters when you're playing video games
If you think developers do not follow industry standards and artists put zero effort into making the games they work on look a certain way in order to convey certain feelings and establish atmosphere, you do not deserve to play games. Color accuracy always matters.

Nobody who plays a game competitively gives a fuck about color accuracy. Hence why people prefer the TN's with low input lag over the other panels.

The ROG Facebook page puts the new release window for the PG278Q in June. I don't do Facebook, but I grabbed the info from a post on the ASUS ROG forums. To my knowledge, no games support color management profiles, and therefore all the calibration in the world won't matter. So I think the assertion that the developers want 100% color fidelity is probably untrue.
Edit: checked in here because I've been salivating for that Asus ROG Gsync for months. Right now I'm getting by with my Dell 30" U3011, but I'd love 120Hz and especially gsync if I can get it on a big high-res display.

Was responding to someone else...It's not an IPS.
