FX8320 vs I5 2320

I recently upgraded my computer to Ryzen+Vega and planned on handing down my fx8320+R9 290 to my girlfriend. I didn't realize that she had a computer her dad had previously buildt her with an i5 2320 in it. I've always been an AMD guy, but only due to the fact that they're generally cheaper, so I'm not super familiar with Intel CPUs. Which CPU would be better for gaming assuming no overclocking? Her current mobo is an Asus P8H61-M LX that I'll drop 16 Gb of 1866 ram and the rest of my old components into. I'm introducing her to pc gaming slowly starting with games such as Diablo 3, but we may venture into more resource intensive games as time goes on. Thanks in advance.

Not Necessarily in poorly optomized stuff it would run badly while some other stuff plenty capable. 8320 binning was crap though and used too much vcore. I have a pretty golden 9590 still just not a great mobo to run it..but that one can damn near boot 5.2-5.3ghz right at a little under maybe 1.6-1.62v.
