How does the fx5800 (128 ddr) asus v9900 compare to a r9800?

would it be ok for future games such as doom3 or HL2?

no seconded, maybe itll be competitive in opengl but it wont come close with dx9. Besides the thing runs extremely hot, and sounds like a hairdryer, if you are buying a card, I'd pick up a 5900 or 9800 pro for around $240 at newegg
