Does that effect the lid closing on the Mac?

Closing is affected a little bit; it doesn't seem to have any practical effect, but a very tight case might cause issues.

No warranty, and not really interested in trades.

I need to check the battery life and its charge history, I'll do that later today. I haven't noticed any change in battery life, but I mostly use it plugged in.
