i got slot load mac yes it old.
disks keep geting stuck my key board doesnt have eject key
is there a way no i cant use paper clip .
what drive could i stuff in the case.

I think he's talking about mechanical failure, and is referring to the emergency eject hole that people use a paper clip to force eject a disk.

As for your problem, I have no idea. I suppose you could have an Apple service tech look at it and see how much money it would take to replace the drive, or perhaps ways to fix the problem.

I wasn't sure since he mentioned that his keyboard had no eject button, which would be completely useless in the case of mechanical failure.

it ate a cd and at boot i cant get it out no icon on desk top
cant call apple of warenty maybe a drive from lap top would fit imac?

You can't use an external USB/Firewire CD/DVD drive? I think any Firewire device is bootable, right?
