Would going from a Willy and Kingston Generic 2100 to a 2.6C and Mushkin Level 2 be worth it? Or should I get a 3.06, and not buy the room? Would performance be okay (considering I'm out nothing for the RAM) with a 3.06

if you bought a 3.06 and overclocked the FSB to 800 it would definately be worth it :D

LOL, getting it up to 200FSB is a dream, but does anyone have any experience running DDR2100 at 150 mhz or better?

2.6C and the ram - I think so, yes. You can easily get that processor well over 3GHz and there should definitely be an increase with the RAM.

2.4c....grab some decent cooling over at pricewatch and call it a night. A possible 4ghz OC night

If you wanted to keep your ram....
You could use the ram ratios for the 800PSB strap setting and even at 200FSB (800) your ram would be spec at 133Mhz with the 3:2 ratio.

But you wouldnt have much headroom for OC'ing an 800FSB processor. If you bought a 3.06Ghz you would get HT and try OC'ing to 3.5Ghz+ and if you ram craps out at 1:1 use the 5:4 ratio (make sure you set FSB strap to 800) so even at 166FSB your ram would be at 133, etc.

You could do wonders with that mobo if you got a new processor and new ram. Mushkin L2 is a little overpriced. It is nice, but I would get something cheaper like Geil, Corsair or Mushkin Level 1 3200.

I don't seem to understand the ridiculous premium for L2 PC3500. I could have a gig of the L1 for $196 but the L2 is OVER $300 a gig  and all that is GUARANTEED are the BH-5. Seems like they market that to the uber-[H]ardcore
