My set-up approaches finalization, but one decission I still have to make is - do I submerge the pump or leave it out?. Submerged is usually quieter, and cools the pump. But I'm worried about the added coolant damaging the encapsualtion (it's an aquarium pump afterall, not designed to get in contact with glycol). Any experience on that matter?

My 1250 came with some velcro that attached to the bottom inside of my case. I honestly don't even hear the pump on even if I pull the side of the case off. Might want to look into a way to just velcro the thing down and there is no noise, least that I can hear.

When I was testing my 1250 I ran it submerged and inline, and really couldn't tell the difference. Obviously there is probably some temperature difference, but as far as quietness goes it's silent either way.
