eCost and the X800 XT Platinum Edition

I've read tons of things on other retailers and peoples experiences trying to get this card from them, but what have people experienced with eCost? I just put in an order today and they told me, over the phone that July 18th was the scheduled date.

if you read the posts, you'd have learned that pre-ordering is a terrible idea. Most have been burned by endless delays, and empty promises. If BB and CrapUSA can't get them, you can be sure Ecost is at the bottom of the priority barrel.

I dont mean to be harsh, but it is the truth. Just wait another month or so to see if they show up at retail.
