E-mail Problems with Outlook 2013

Have used Outlook for years to do e-mail etc. Yesterday I started to have problems with Outlook not downloading pictures, etc. Checked the security settings and the box is unchecked to prevent this (as it has been since day 1) Checked to see if the latest round of MS Updates made some changes but don't see anything related to Outlook.
Anyone have any ideas????????
 
If the above does not work, it may be worth trying to restore IE back to default setting. The button can be found via the internet options advanced tab.
 
Did a cold reboot to free up some memory and now Outlook works fine. Don't know why this would work but I'm not going to argue!
