Dragon Quest VIII for ps2

Has anyone else played it? I picked up yesterday, and so far i am liking it. The graphics are really nice too...

Have you played any of the previous DW games, and if so, could you compare them?

The DW series is about the only old-school RPGs I enjoy playing. And the handheld Monsters games are like crack.

I'm 48 hours into it.

It's awesome (IF you like JRPGs). It is the pinnacle of the genre IMO, it's soooo polished it's silly. For $37.99 at Fry's you can't beat it!

(I played DWIII).

I didn't like the old style of DW. But the new one looks good. I might have to buy it.
