Well this just started up again (stopped after a drive reformat last year). Whenever I am downloading (be it bittorrent, internet explorer or anything) above approx. 100k I am getting serious lag, most noticeable in my media players (winamp, itunes pretty much anything). But as soon as the download stops things go back to normal. Could this be a problem with my network adapter and or drivers?

Adapter is onboard my Asus mobo Marvell Yukon 88E8001 PCI Gigabit Controller
Driver is 10.27.2004 version 7.24.1.3
Athlon64 3000+
WinXP SP2 Corp.

Any help would be awesome!

I'm using same network adapter on my DFI board and using 11/26/2004 - 7.29.4.3 driver
haven't noticed any problems like you're experiencing.

Do an uninstall of the device, and scan for hardware changes, update the driver...

It sounds like a driver problem to me. Make sure that you have the latest drivers for your motherboard, IDE controller, network card, and anything/everything else you think might possibly be related.
