I was thinking about purchasing a video card for some online gaming and was curious if the CPU could overclock easier without the heat generated from the on-die GPU?
Not sure if you really want to as you can archive video for Youtube or stream to Twitch.tv for free to share with your friends using the on-die GPU. That gives it a tangible use for gaming if you are into that type of thing. I know that ShadowPlay exists if you happen to own an Nvidia card, but it's buggy and limited in use. Plus it would negate some of your overclock as it does take some resources from your video card.
