by default Disc Quota is turned off but for some reason, over the past month or so, I get Disc Quota errors if my computer is on for to long. When this happens, I will try to open programs like AIM or IE and then the error window will appear with a message like "Not Enough Quota to Complete This Process". If I reboot, everything is back to normal for several hours before something happens again. My virtual memory is at default and so is disc quota.

My system:
1.4ghz intel pentium 4
1024 sdram
80gb 7200rpm master drive
windows xp pro

Those are probably the only specs I need to mention for this kind of problem.

errr...why arent you addressing this to your system administrator
or is this on your home network?

Delete files.
Reduce the size of existing files.
Have another user claim ownership of some files.
Have the administrator increase the quota allowance.
Try setting a quota to a couple of different sizes, the same size as your HDD capacity?
Are other accounts qouta set?

the virtual memory or temp directory could be filling up
do you have either set to clear at shutdown?

fiddle with the virtual memory allocation?
scan for viruses \worms
