The computer will not boot with it and the fan doesn't turn on. Fortunately, I could use the low fan speed adapter that came with it on both the stock 92mm and 80mm FANS FROM HELL.
My wife's Vostro sadly did not come with typical heatsink to fan clip but little screws needed to secure it.
The computer runs great, it's an 8GB, E8600, with a Radeon 4670 1GB card (no external power/low power card). I even added 802.11ac and she gets 120Mbps over the air.
I upgraded it from E4500 (that was almost half the speed from 2-3 generations ago), 2GB and a 128GB 8200GX (crappiest video card of all time)
I just don't get why the computer will not start with the Noctura. It's a 4pin fan just like the stock one
