Not a bad deal at all. Anyone know if these have pci-x ? If so, how many?

Also: How many hard drives can these things hold?

Hmm Tempting. I wonder how much power this thing would suck from the wall if used as a file server. It would be a nice upgrade from my temperamental P3.

Good deal for a server.

For people who want a cheap desktop, the systems in the Dell Outlet are a better choice IMO. Dual core E2160 and X2 2.1/2.3GHz models with an OS (XP or Vista), more memory, an x16 PCI-E slot and much larger hard drives are are often available in the outlet every hour for about $220 + $30 shipping. The systems come with the normal 1 year warranty + on-site service.

I got a Q6600 system with a HD 2600XT 256MB and Vista Ultimate last week for $430. The best time to look is around 40 minutes past the hour and generally the best deals are available in the morning.

I wish they would put some of them rack servers on sale and make them hot as their tower server sales.
