I'm thinking of either getting the ipaq 5455 with 64 megs or the ipaq 5555 with 128 megs. The price different is ~$150 and i don't know whether it's worth it to spend extra for the 64 megs. Anyways... my question is whether i can run applications off the sd card because it would be more viable to spend the $150 different on a 512 sd rather than 64 megs of ram. Just tell me whether i can run apps off the sd.

Thx!

yes, you can run programs off of the sd card.

But why are you getting the 64 meg 5455? The only feature it has over the 4155 and 4355 is the biometric security and the add on sleeve capability and sicne you're using an sd card anyways, the addon sleeve capability is useless.

I'd get the 4155 since it's about 100 bucks cheaper and it's much more compact or you can get the 4355 which has a much bigger battery than even the 5555 ( think) an it has the integrated backlit keyboard. the 4355 is also the same length as the 5555 /w the keyboard and it is less wide.

Just my 2 cents.

No... i need expansion. I plan on adding a dual cf expansion in addition to a gps device and a 2.2gb cf hd.

in that case, the 5400 is the way to go.

Otherwise, I'd say get the 4150 or 4350. IMO, the 4350 is the best pda on the market by far.
