Wouldn't it be a lot easier to just get a crimping tool and crimp new connector pins onto the cables instead of soldering the old ones to new cables? it would also look a lot cleaner
I used a crimping tool for all cables. But with the SF450 PSU you have 5 pins with double crimped cables (4x sense wire, 1x double ground for the GPU). I tried crimping two cables in one connector pin, but the results didnt look safe, i.e. the wings of the pins didn't fully enclose both cables. That's why I went for the soldering soluting. I might try pins with bigger wings if I ever went for a second run.
