The C7 will fit on the Impact VIII. The temp screenshot of the C7 on the last side was made on an Impact VIII with 6700k.

Soo can someone confirm that I will be able to order this masterpiece by the end of 2015? I've been throwing my money at the screen for quite a while now.
I'm not so sure. I remember researching this a while back and getting confusing results when it came to the gigabyte. If you take the specs at face value it doesn't fit, but this article where they actually measure it would seem to suggest otherwise.Gigabyte is 309mm so it is a no go for this case.
Pity..... I want this case......

I got new samples
(Sorry for the bad quality)
What CPU fan are you going to use? (Assuming you're not going to let your CPU throttle when it's gaming time)
I'm using the Cryorig C7 for mine, waiting for a SSD replacement so I can only watch BIOS load atm
Nah this is Hard|Forum, you're supposed to post sff builds that make you hard ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)I thought that posting porn is illegal
Dan seemed to think it would fit. We talked about it toward the bottom of this page. but yeah I'd definitely try to confirm the length before deciding one way or another.@superblockio, dammit you're right, I wish there was a standard for these measurements But still 309mm is then probably a full length including a bracket and DAN case including a bracket allows 306mm. You could probably force it in but I wouldn't risk it (or mod the case as I mentioned earlier).
Hey Dan,
Those look beautiful! Just curious, what thermal paste did you use for the Dynatron T318 cooler? I'm using the same X99 setup with the same cooler and fan and am getting very hot idle temps. I'm currently using the thermal paste that came on the cooler, but I'm now thinking that the pre-applied stuff may be junk.
Also, which points did you use to secure the fan to the T318 cooler? This might be worth adding to the guide on your website!
How high are yor idle temps on desktop and how high are your load temps in prime95? Did you screw the four screws strong enough? Which FAN do you use? Do you overclocked the cpu?
I can make a drawing for the zip ties mounting of the fan tomorrow.
For the first one incl. tax it is nearly $2000. Later ones are cheaper.
@jb1:
Maybe this picture helps you to mount the fan with zip ties:
In idle the cpu fan run with 30% speed and I get 30-36°C. Room temp is 22°C. Thermal paste is Thermalright Chill Factor 3.
Do you allow your cpu to clock down in idle mode? What is your room temperature? Do you use the components inside a case? If yes what case do you use? Do you measure the temps with coretemp?
Here's a review of the C7 - seems it outperforms the NH-L9i...
Woohoo!

Hmm, well it's slightly cooler but also slightly noisier than NH-L9i, so there's no "overall" advantage it seems. I expected more to be honestHere's a review of the C7 - seems it outperforms the NH-L9i...

That's unimpressive. Being better than L9i by small margin is not that good. Cooltek LP53 performs way better and seems to be the better choice for the A4.
