Specs:

Abit IP35 Pro
Q6600 G0
G.Skill 2x2gig DDR2-1000
750w PSU
Xigmatek Cooler

Clock: 334
Vcore: 1.3950
MCH 1.25v: 1.33
CPU VTT: 1.20
ICH 1.05v: 1.05
CPU GTLREF 1&3: 67%
DDR2: 2.1
ICHIO 1.5v: 1.5
DDR2 REF: 0%
CPU GTLREF 0&2: 67%

Basically I set DDR2 to specified voltage. Bumped Vcore a few notches as well as MCH. I didnt touch anything else. I know MCH is needed and can make all the difference in the OC ability so I just guessed honestly what would be a good increase.

Right now, I'm running 3.0ghz / DDR-1000 5-5-5-15 and it seems to be working fine. Proc is sitting @ 24C Idle and hits about 38C during several hours of Oblivion, Sins of a Solar Empire and Bioshock. So far, no hitches/glitches what so ever. I havent stressed tested it yet due to my inexperience with OC'ing. I read a few guides and bumped up the basic statistics as I stated before.

Please let me know if you see any red flags and please give me any tips/recommendations to tweak this, if needed. I'm not interested in OC'ing any more then what I have right now, I'd like to keep the electromigration at bay for awhile and enjoy this :).

Thanks.

24C at 1.395v is impossible.
1.395v is also, probably, way too much for only 9x334.

It should do 333 @ stock volts.

Exactly what I run mine at :D

If I push it to 3100 or more I start having to bump the northbridge and vcore and meh... I got it to fairly stable at 3.6 but was having such ridiculous vdroop that it was kinda hard (I'd set it to 1.4, it'd drop to 1.375 in OS then 1.34 under load)

So are you guys saying my vcore and mch shouldnt have been touched? I had issues while just trying to raise the clock before (random lock and crash while loading Windows). According to Guru I keep bouncing around from 1.21<-->1.35v. Writting this now, it stays on 1.35v for 90% of the time then shows 1.20-1.21 for a second or two.

And yes My vcore was that high and I'm looking at 24-25C in Guru and within the BIOS. Not like the BIOS is all that accurate but still. Either way its running cool and I'm happy.

So I guess I'll bring the vcore down, how about the mch, was that ever worth it? Again, my main concern is the longevity and a staying conservative, hence only 3ghz OC.

I would use Coretemp or Realtemp for the temps, not Guru.

With an IP35 Pro, and a 1.275 VID G0 Q6600 I left it at 1.275 volts, the ONLY thing I had to adjust was FSB from 266 to 333 and I think my memory ratio to 1.50 because I was running DDR1000 (1.5 x 333 = 500, since it's DDR2 that doubles, so 1000)

Funny, I had coretemp on this machine and I totally forgot. I'm showing 33-35C on all cores. VID is 1.3250v.

To Phil, Yeah I could easily hit 3.4-3.6 with this cooler but I'd like to have this PC for awhile. I'm conservative for the most part and dont push hardware to its limits.

If your vid is 1.325 then it's not that bad, you should be able to run at that...
