Im going to be buying a pair of ddr to go with my new 865 mobo. Can anyone recomend this ram? Also, whats the best ram out for 865/875 mobos? Thanks in advance.

Thats what I got with an 865PE mobo.
This ram overclock to 230mhz at default timing 2236, and did not try higher then this but im sure it can do it.

Great ram. Im satisfy with it.

It can go as high as you want but you will have to drop the memory divider.

I had cheap buffalo pc3200 and was able to take my celeron to 3.2ghz on the gigabyte 8IPE1000-L. I purchased the twinx256 pc3200 and now my system is unstable even with a minor increase to the fsb. Anybody have any input as to why this is happening? I tried to run in single chanel to see if this would change anything but the results were identical...?

The latest Corsair TwinX3200LL 512MB kits use Winbond CH5 chips; they arent a very good choice for i865/i875 boards and especially not when overclocking a 2.4C on one. Using CH5s you will hit a brick wall from 250-270MHz FSB. I highly recommend you go for a dual channel pair of Mushkin Level II PC3500 instead, they allow the most stability and tight timings.

Also worth noting that CH5s suck on dividers, period. I cant get my two CH5 sticks to boot using the 3:4 on my i845 system either, its not just localised to i865/875.

Agreed, get BH-5 if at all possible. Grab up some of the Mushkin while you can since it looks as if they are running out (the only stock left seems to be at retailers now, Mushkin themselves have stopped selling it directly).

Some Kingston PC3200 is BH-5 as well, though I think it's a crap shoot when you are buying from them. The Mushkin is guarenteed to be BH-5 if you buy LVL2 Black (2x256 or 2x512).

Just picked up some kingston pc3200 value ram and I can overclock my 2.0a cely to 3.0 again. Gonna go for the hyperx.
