Connect Linux to 2003 Domain

I have been trying for the last two days to get Ubuntu to connect to a 2003 domain. I want to use it as a file server, thus allowing me to use the domain permissions. I used Sadms to get it to join the domain. It actually list the users, etc.

The problem is when I try to go to \\fileserver it ask for a user/pass. I am logged into a XP Pro machine with admin rights. I create a folder and shared it out using sadms for that user.

Any one know of an easy/better way which actually works?

You could use Samba + Winbind to achieve this result. There used to be an article in the Ubuntu WiKi, but it has been a while since I looked at it.
