Ok, I've got a new mobo, and new psu. when on a test bed I plug the power supply into the motherboard and flip the switch on the back of the power supply. This causes the fans to jump, then they go to full spin and computer will not POST.

Any ideas? Both parts were purchased from these boards and verified to work before being shipped to me.

I'd check the memory first and make sure it is firmly seated and in the correct slots for the speed and capacity you purchased.

Make sure you have all the MoBo power headers connected.

I know this is very simple but is the monitor working?

Connect a PC Speaker to the MoBo if you haven't already and see if you get any beep codes.

Try a different Power Supply.

Take everything out of the case and try to fire it up on a non-conductive surface (if it's in a case).

Is everything seated firmly?

Good luck

Stupid question, I'm sure, but just in case:

You said you flipped the switch on the back of the PSU -- you do know that alone won't start the system, right? You have a switch connected to the headers on the MOBO (or are shorting them)?

I'm sure you are, just double checking. :)

If there is an aux 12v connector (EPS12V) make sure you are connecting it too.

Also try clearing the CMOS memory using the jumper or button located near the onboard battery. (Check your manual to confirm it's location)
