My first attempt to deploy a large scale website has resulted in my shared hosting service constantly locking my site due to excessive CPU usage and long SQL queries.
I am using a common CMS so the queries I can't really change, CPU doesn't seem to be a way around, when its querying my database it takes awhile (over 100k pages) so apparently a shared hosting environment simply cannot support this site.
I have relied on shared hosting up until now and am familier with the pricing, can anyone suggest any reasonable colo places and what to expect?
Any suggestions / similiar experiences?
