CD burning software?

well my dad appears to have uninstalled his CD burning software from his computer, and of course he can not find the installation CD

I DO NOT want cracks or any of that nonsense ect ect ect

my question, is there a free to run, or open source program that is a very basic cd burning program, he only needs to be able to make a simple data disc and but making a music cd would be a bonus.. no special burning options are needed

cant you just write data to a cd using microsofts' cd wizard?

There's one built into Windows XP, it's not too bad from my limited experience with it.

If you willing to buy one, Nero is good. Try to get Nero 6 instead of 7 though.
