Capricornus malware

powered by Capricornus malware.
And I also get Update Flash all the time.
I have McAfee and SpyBot installed; neither has found the virus.

I also get a screen says call Optimum.
Some have said it's a firmware trojan, and I have to reset the hardware.
How do I get rid of it?

reformat and restore from backup is always the most reliable method. Have you tried a system restore to go back to a previous checkpoint?

Finally cleaned by MalwareBytes! The only app that was able to catch and rid the trojan/malware of some 15 I had tried, including SpyBot, AdAware, Adwcleaner, Hitman, etc.
I'll be sure to thank them by registering it and use it daily.
