Can I display 2560x1440 via HDMI 1.4?

I was wondering can I display highest resolutions via HDMI 1.4?
I have GTX580 and Hazro 27" with dual DVI connector only.

As far as I know:

  • HDMI 1.4 supports 4k x 2k resolutions
  • GTX580 has mini-HDMI 1.4
  • Hazro 27" screen had DVI dual link


Now, if I could get hold on mini-HDMI to HDMI 1.4 cable and then HDMI to dual DVI converter, then I could display 2560x1440 res via this HDMI, correct?

Please advise...
 
I suspect you will have trouble finding a DVI adapter that will do dual link. Could be wrong though.

Yes, that is what I'm after... I wonder if that exists, cannot find one on net...:(
 
I checked and I got mine from ++++++++++. Some people say that place has some bad reviews but I had no problem buying a few adapters from them. I'm not sure if I would risk higher priced items however.

edit... their url is banned from here.. just go to their page and search "dvi d hdmi adapter" ... The vendor is dino like the flintstones.. direct. dot com. $3.39 each.
