I'm simply curious to see what overclocks [H] members have gotten with the intel stock cooler as well as share my own :)

Anyways please use this simple format for posting. Also can you please refrain from posting full size pictures but post thumbs instead as I don't want this thread getting clogged up making it difficult to navigate. Feel free to comment on other people's overclocks and such as well :)

Processor (w/voltage):
Mobo:
ram:
Temps (load and idle):
Stability: eg. 8 hours orthos

Anyways here are a couple of my overclocks to kick this thing off :)

[email protected] w/1.175v
Gigabyte S3
PQI DDR667@850mhz 5-5-5-12
idle: 48-50*C
load: 55-57*C
8 hours orthos stable

This is my latest overclock

[email protected] w/1.275v
Gigabyte S3
PQI DDR667@900 5-5-5-12
idle: not sure as I've been mainly stress testing this overclock
idle: 50*C
load: 60*C
stability: 8hours orthos

My poor little conroe never even had the stock cooler on it! Never booted it up at stock settings either ;).

[email protected] w/1.220v
Biostar T-Force 965PT
Geil DDR2-800 @ 802 5-5-5-15
idle: 30-32*C
load: 57-59*C
24 hours orthos stable

Actually have a question for you guys if you can answer it. Ive gotten this thing all the way to 450fsb fully Orthos stable for well over 10 hours (7*450=3150 @ 1.28v) however whenever i play F.E.A.R. the entire game will lock up randomly. The error the system gives is that the video driver got caught in a thread loop. Different drivers give me different times till this happens. Ram tests in Memtest and Windows Ram Tester perfectly fine, Orthos runs forever with no error, Super PI can do 32mil no prob... but i cannot run Fear. Any ideas?

Sorry to threadjack, regardless of the above these chips are amazing little guys. If your wondering the above setup with regards to the question is:

[email protected] w/1.80v
Biostar T-Force 965PT
Geil DDR2-800 @ 850 5-5-5-15
idle: 32-34*C
load: 61-65*C
8+ hours orthos stable

same here. started w/ 333fsb.

I had my e6600 at 3.5 on the stock cooler. System specs are in the sig. :D

Right now my E6600 is at 3.2 with the stock cooler but my temps (46 idle, 58 load) are a bit high so a different cooler is on the way.

Last time I overclocked a chip was back in the celeron 300 days...this is rather fun :)

E6600 at 1.31v
Gigabyte P965 D3S version 2.0
2 Gig OCZ 6400 4-4-4-15 ram 2.1v
eVGA 7900 KO GT

your temps are fine for that overclock these chips can take a bit of heat :)

Hehe, I believe the stock cooler is fine for up to around 3 gig overclocks so I am thinking of swapping mine out for a after market job.

But realistically even these temps are a long way from hurting the processor, so "technically" there is no need.
